Hopefully, this long weekend finds us all rested for a full week of school. We have a great week of learning in store for the students of Room 131. Before I get started on this week's blog, I would like to thank everyone for the support of this years food drive. Our students collected over 150 items to deliver to the pantry. Sadly, the weather did not cooperate for us to hand deliver the items, but they were delivered just the same. I am very proud and thankful of all the students and families of our classroom who helped show such amazing support of our community.
A few important announcements for the week. We will be having a test on the states and capitals on the east coast this Friday. Please have your students study nightly for the exam. I have prepared flash cards that can be cut out and used as a study tool, they are loaded on the printable practice page. I also made online flash cards for everyone to study from. This week is also a flip-flop week. Just a heads up about Phy. Ed. this Tuesday. Since it is not usually a Phy. Ed. day, I would just like to remind students to bring anything they may need.
A few instances of bullying have been popping up around WIS. Discuss the negative powers of bullying with your child to make sure they are not victims or bullies at school. We will also be discussing the issue at school this week.
Last week we struggled with side conversations. We will be having a new seating arrangement this week and students most likely will not be sitting with friends due to this difficulty. Many students grades were negatively effected by these side conversations and I was very disappointed. I hope this is an area we can impor
