Last week, it was evident that there are just a few days of the school year left. I would like all parents and friends to help remind each of the students of Room 131 that we still have things left to learn this school year. Work hard, finish strong!
This week, there are a few important events happening. First off on Wednesday the fifth graders will be completing the mile run for physical education classes. This is a requirement, so any student physically unable to run, must have a note from a parent or a doctor saying they will note be able to run. This is always a fun class, and students will be amazed at what they can do.
Friday is our classroom picnic. A BIG thank you goes out to Jackie Ruggles for being the coordinator for this event. She will be contacting those of you who have volunteered to help about your duties if she has not already.
On Friday, we will be first stopping at the middle school for our tour, but then continuing on to Lewis Park for our day long picnic. The forecast calls for sun, so please have your child put on and bring sunscreen for the day. Students who have any late work will be required to come back to Waubesa after the tour to complete all late work. This means they will be missing the picnic, even if it's just one piece. I must have report cards done by June 10th, so late work is not only a bad habit, but a big inconvenience. Thank you for your support on this issue.
I would also like to remind parents to complete the website survey. It is a big help to me when I make website changes from year to year. Thanks in advance for your honesty and time.
Now, let's make this short week great, or not! The choice is ours!
