It's hard to believe there are only three weekly blogs left in this amazing school year! I am sad to see this great group of kids go, and it makes it especially hard being my last few weeks at Waubesa for a few years. I hope that all the kids learned as much as I did from everything that we've done this school year. I know we are all ready to face new challenges that wait us in our next adventure.
This week, there are a few important things to note. First off, Monday and Tuesday we will be continuing our state mandated Human Growth and Development. No parents have brought in waiver forms excusing students from this, so I expect we will continue as usual. I was proud of the students in our class with the mature questions they were able to ask our guest speaker Dr. P. Any questions about this topic, and I would be happy to answer them.
I will be sending the final book order of the school year home this week, and would like to have them due on Friday. Please remember to support our summer reading by purchasing books from Scholastic. Books can still be ordered online through this link. This week I am sitting down with each student and making summer book recommendations. Please look for these books in the Scholastic, or at our public library.
For the remainder of the school-year, you will see a website survey posted under the news tab. Please take a moment to help improve the classroom website for next years students. I also plan to change the website password at the end of the year, so be prepared to note that change as well. The survey can be accessed by clicking this link.
Jackie Ruggles has so graciously volunteered to help lead the planning of the 5th grade picnic. A note will be going home this week about the picnic and what you can do to help. Please take a moment to think of your availability, and what you could do to make this last picnic great!
So many pictures on our Snapfish group page of the school year. Please go and check them out. I have also loaded tons of different videos on our Daily Blog that last few weeks. Please watch and enjoy.
I am sure I am missing many things, but the sunny weather is calling my bike and me outside! Get out and enjoy the weather and make this week great, or not! The choice is yours.
